Well, since my original post was dismanteled by bumbling post masters with their heads wedged firmly in Shanes buttox I'll just post what I feel aobut the tune here... where nobody has heard or cares. LOL Umm, yeah, it's alright but hardly a step in a new direction. As much as I love BT's semi-rock oriented tunes (like Smartbomb and The Revolution) this one just doens't seem to stand up. It's a case of been there done that. It's fun, but I think BT needs to try and expand on that sound a bit more. Hopefully that was just a weak radio edit and the final album version will be much better. It's happened before.

I love the new song, as apposed to other artists that spend their entire carreer in one genre of music, bt is experimenting w/ several kinds, and coming back to them w/ new surprises. I don't see the song as being similar to Revolution or Smartbomb, its more of a dark pop/rap song...i dunno some kickass effects, I'm sleepy .~*^POof!^*~. (I posted! so hah!!)

i think you should draw the conclusion that this is the ONLY board worth posting on, Mo i have to agree with dan c over dan s on this one (agh, we have four dans on this board already! and dana makes 4 1/2!) - this ain't a step forward. it's just a step. it's good (it's BT, fer fuck's sake!) and i can imagine XS getting jiggy listening to it (which alone makes the song worth it)... but after the way brian hyped it, i was thinking it'd be something different to The Revolution part 2. that said, no one said BT had to push the boundaries 100% of the time...

OK, I'm cheesy - I liked it. It grows on you like fungus. I thought it was catchy and was a lot of fun. I even kinda liked the rap. Keep in mind that this is for Blade 2. This will fit very well in the movie, and someone said that this would also make excellent trailer music, which I agree. That being said, I'm jonesing for him to put out another prog house tune like NOW. I'm getting breaksed out. It was also way short - if it ends up on the album I hope there's about 3 minutes taked on the end of him going psycho on us. For some reason this song reminds me a lot of "Solar Plexus" - it's getting almost dark in places. And Luce, each board is there for its own reason. Let's not get into competition here.

Well I DO actually go by Danny most of the time so you can cut the Dans down to three. Or if you'd like to get goofy with initials mine are DMC (which opens the door for ALL KINDS of old school rap jokes.)
Umm yeah, I don't care if BT is allowed to not be inventive 100% of the time. I wish he'd be more less inventive with other styles besides the breaks/rap/pop genre.
