Just got back from seeing Spider-Man. Holy crap what a good movie! Best comic book adaptation in a long time. Very true to the original with just a few minor changes. IMHO it spares some of the hokeyness of the early-60's era comic debut.
Acting was pretty good all-around. Tobey Maguire played a perfect Peter Parker. Extra props to J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson - he played the hysterically efficient asshole quite well. LOL!
I think I have to have to go see this one again.

Hell yeah, that movie was fucking excellent. Although the assholeness was down quite perfect J.K. Simmons didn't seem quite angry enough for my taste...
Toby Maguire played Peter Parker absolutely perfect, although I think Kirstn Dunst is just a wee bit too soft to play MJ, still THE BEST comic to movie adaptation I've ever seen (Blade doesn't count, it hasn't had the advantage, or disadvantage, of being around for forty years) and one of my favorite movies all around. And that's saying alot coming from a guy who got started on comics through Spider-man and consequently has been my f avorite comic book character of all time... now I've got a kick-ass movie and even a Gamecube game all in the span of a few weeks. LOL

It's out a week from this coming Thursday in the US, Dan. From the previews and spoilers I've read (and the script on-line I'll be looking at soon) it will be one hell of a movie.

I suppose that depends on what showing you'll be going to as well. Midnight baby, as close to Wednesday the 17th as I possibly can get.
