us.imdb.com/Title?0166924 I saw this over the weekend and it was really cool. For those who have never heard of it, it's the new David Lunch movie. It's kinda hard to find (don't expect to see it anytime soon, Dan) and only one theatre in Nashville had it. Some thoughts: -I really admire Lynch because of the way his movies (and TV shows) work with altered timelines. This one was like a dream transferred on film - it made absolutely no sense, but it was entertaining because of that. I definitely can see why ABC passed on this as a television series - no one's figured out Twin Peaks YET, lol. -If you're a horny guy and you like lesbian sex scenes and TITTIES, this is the movie for you. -The acting was excellent - I expect to see a lot more of Naomi Watts very soon. -The movie managed to capture LA's mood pretty perfectly. And how is it I was only there for a month and I still recognized a ridiculous # of the locations? I guess all that Hollywood driving came in handy. -Best part of the movie? The trailer for Waking Life. I can't WAIT to see this! It's an animated film by Richard Linklater, and it looks like The Scream on acid. -If anyone wants to get me anything for Christmas, Justin Theroux will do quite nicely. us.imdb.com/EGallery?source=ss&group=0166924&photo=MDCL1536X1024_43.jpg&path=pgallery&path_key=Theroux,+Justin Now I have to go rent all the Twin Peaks vids, dammit.

Dana, that's great info! Thank you! Hey, have you ever seen the movie, Memento? It's in altered time sequences, and it really fucks with your head. Then leaves you at the end going...wtf?? I loved it hahah. I recommend it to people who like that sort of thing...a real psychological marionette. Made me think a lot about how much I take for granted in life too.
It's about a man who sustained brain damage that prevents him from making short term memories, and is out to avenge is wife's death...rent it. It's good.

lesbian action, eh? as for Memento, you pick a whole heap up with a second watching of that movie... it is even more intricate than it appears... and that's saying something. Carrie Ann Moss is a great actor too... her character progression (in reverse since the film moves backwards) is awesome.

i am infatuated with this film! why did it take me so long to see?!
it's heartbreaking. totally fucking devastating. The first time was poignant, but the second was just brutal. The delicacy with which the ideas get thrown at you is excruciating. (Watching it with five other talkative people wasn't the best idea, but oh well.) It's a hard thing facing the notion that the beautiful voice you're watching sing is just, well, you know if you've seen it.
It's such a sad film.
