i'm sure you're all sick of this, but laurie asked us to repost things, and i like this one Dolphin You have a way of curving your mouth: sweetening this absence; wringing this fleeting light – straining such purity, such honey, sweet and golden, and darkly strong. A drugged, high insomniac, Accepting – calm, nightful and lightly airborne. I love you more than time and the moon – crescent or full. Why seek light in the knowledge of you? You are the light for me. Your arms are untouchable. Finally – gossamer. As I hum you stuff my wounds with clouds. You transcend lacerations, holes, Abscesses within my protection, Constantly. I form your name with my awkward lips – an incantation, now, then, through you and out the other side –<br>breaking the surface in a liquid arc, glistening with your breath. ****** (nothing startlingly original, but nice... in a funny kinda way)

;D audre lorde said: poetry is not a luxury. she was wrong. it is. it should be used sparingly. the below is an example of why not everyone can be a poet: i have been crying all day because what you think of me makes me upset i drown in the intense void i cry because i love you and know not what to do

i think you have proven that some people have no choice but to be poetic. you are one of those people. when you love someone, you should know what to do more clearly than day or night. it is whether you act upon it which makes all the difference. i think you should talk, even if you don't know what to say.... Dolphin grabbed me by the balls and wouldn't let go ( )... take hold of something. grab it and hold it and don't let it slip away. Dan

luceluna, poppet that poem was not written by moi. it is a fucking terrible "poem" and i really hope you didn't actually like it!! i mean, teh person in it has "been crying all day" yet tehy describe themself as being "upset"!!! that is not just understatement, it is sheer unadulterated stupidity! love pagan poet aka: cement kittie - you must know who i am now, poppet!
