This poem is pretty old, but i found it lying around and thought i would post it

how many stars are in the sky?

have you ever tried to count how many stars are in the sky?
ever lain down at night looking up at the starry sky?

i want to count stars with you one day,
just lying on the grass,
talking, counting, laughing, crying,
smiling, silent, still,
thinking

fall asleep side by side,
wake up in the morning, wet from dew,

all the stars have gone now, no more for us to count
i want to count stars with you one day,

some day

this made me cry, it comes across as being very pleasant, which is deceptive, given the pain that really underlies it - the pain that just WHAM!s you at the end with that 'i still love you' comment - it is part of the poem yes?  i hope so!
