after finding this site i was compelled to dig out my box of finished journals from the past few years.. i just found a couple of favourites i thought i'd share.
james :-)
*****
'ambrosia'
olive-skinned and exuding wealth, feels like home in the travelled future and the fragrance of a loose-leaved journal tucked on an old oak bedside table. linen sheets, i imagine would cling half-heartedly to you on a morning, sung by crickets, hand-in-hand with coffee, cake, and ripening love.
******
'rose'
woman with lots of lovers she's often known as Rose. opens in the moonlight and all those who partook in her beauty, fragrance, her secret garden, criss-cross in their day-lit lives like mesh stockings and tousled hair while she sits thorny
by any other name, she'd have just as many pricks.

wow, James. I really like your writing! Especially that line above. That holds many possible meanings. I like the irony. I'm happy you're here!
