sifting through all my old poems, printing off the ones i'm going to collate and send to laurie (in case my computer ever explodes, lol), i found one i hadn't read for a while. it's two years old, but i love it.
I don’t know what it is About you that makes me cry inside: Tears of joy
I feel a deep, soulful yearning, A connection, A co-existence between Two jigsaw pieces such as Ourselves
I don’t know what lies Awake in you That stirs me and is present In so many people Who touch me Who find me Hollow and brittle as I Find myself
I don’t know if it is love
If it is, I must love People I have never seen with my Eyes that see so much But with my heart that sees So little.
i am astounded by the clarity present in this... and my heart aches at its relevance.

I do believe that this might be the best thing I've ever seen you write, Dan.

I'm inclined to agree with Dana. That poem strikes something deep within. Really amazing work. You definitely have to send that to me.
