leaving the outside
Hollow.
and Waiting
To cave in on itself.

until then it really was
such a nice day.
but it happened
and i'm glad.
and terrified.
and my fingers are bleeding.
so happy.

he's coming. at last.
only i know that

i shall go home
(alone)
disappointed and unfulfilled.
home is where the heart lies.
welcome home.
not just my fingers are bleeding.

just thought i'd explain II because it reads different to how it feels to me - its not at all ironic/sarcastic/bitter. its all true and bright and happy, in an offkilter sort of way.
